SALC Video on Torture Victims from Zimbabwe

SALC is generally very fortunate to receive assistance from interns — current law students or recent law graduates volunteering their time to assist SALC on its cases and projects. Earlier this year we had an intern of a different kind. Tim Fryett is a film graduate and created a number of short video clips for SALC. Several of these videos reflect the experiences of Zimbabweans who have fled Zimbabwe in the wake of the political and humanitarian crisis and whose realities inform the cases and projects we take on. These clips can be viewed here.

Tim also created a video about the Chinese ship campaign — a campaign waged by civil society in the southern Africa region to stop the offload of weapons on board the An Yue Jiang intended for the Zimbabwean Defence Force in the aftermath of the violent Zimbabwean elections of 2008. The video can be viewed below.
