We decided to create a blog where we discuss human rights issues in southern Africa, principally, but also in other parts of the world. The idea isn’t to be too earnest or overly-analytical in our blog posts but more to discuss issues that engage us and that we deal with every day. We hope that our posts are interesting enough that you’ll keep reading, and that you’ll comment and respond.
SALC is the Southern Africa Litigation Centre, an organisation based in Johannesburg, South Africa but working on human rights issues in southern Africa. We engage in litigation advancing human rights and provide legal support through training and other means. We also engage in broader advocacy for legal reform. That seems like a lot — and there’s only four of us!
